NEW PATIENTS - Registration

Practice Catchment Area

The practice area is shown with our practice catchment area page. You can enter your postcode (just below the map) to check if you live within our catchment area. You can only register with the practice if your postcode is within our catchment area.

If you are unsure, you can also contact reception to confirm.

If you change your name and address or telephone number please inform us as soon as possible. If you move out of the practice area, you will be required to register with a new practice local to your new address.

How to register with us as a patient

If you live in our practice catchment area you can register to join our practice online using the link below:

We are a Safe Surgery - This means that anyone who lives within our catchment area can register with us regardless of immigration status, language or lack of identity (ID) or proof of address. Safe Surgeries translated information: Safe Surgery

ONLINE REGISTRATION LINK

If you prefer, you can come to the practice and fill in or collect paper registration forms.

Registrations are usually processed within 3 to 5 working days but could take longer if we need to check anything with you from the information that you have provided.

Please be aware that if you already use the NHS App through your previous surgery, you will need a new linkage key from us so that the app can associate you with us. We will do our best to issue these when you register but again it can take time to process. This could affect your ability to access a Covid Pass on the NHS App so we do not recommend registering just before travelling in case you lose access to your Covid Pass.

You will be allocated a named GP on registration, but you will be registered with the practice rather than an individual GP. You can see any of the doctors here.

Online Services

We recommend that you download the NHS App for your smartphone or tablet device. The NHS App allows you to seek medical advice, submit an eConsult to us, view aspects of your medical record as well as ordering repeat medication, viewing test results and booking appointments. To find out more about the NHS App please click on this link: The NHS App

If you do not have a smartphone or tablet device but still want access to online services, please email us or ask at reception access to online services. You will need to provide the reception team with your photo ID (passport or valid UK drivers licence) as proof.

Summary Care Record

A Summary Care Record is an electronic record containing key health information, which can be made available to NHS healthcare staff caring for you in an emergency or when your GP practice is closed.

Why do I need a Summary Care Record?

Storing information in one place makes it easier for healthcare staff to treat you in an emergency, or when your GP practice is closed.

This information could make a difference to how a doctor decides to care for you, for example which medicines they choose to prescribe for you.

Who can see it?

Only healthcare staff involved in your care can see your Summary Care Record.

Do I have to have one?

No, it is not compulsory. If you choose to opt out of the scheme, then you will need to complete a form and bring it along to the surgery. You can use the form at the foot of this page.
